Walk for Tibet 2018

Sunday 24 June, Scolty Hill, Banchory

This was the 25th sponsored Walk by Tibet Support Group Grampian and the third on Scolty Hill - the others were the first Walk in 1993,TSGG's inaugural year, and in 2013. The Walk started from near Banchory and immediately climbed up Scolty Hill to the Tower. The Walk continued along the upper part of the hill with views over the Feugh valley before dropping down to the River Dee for lunch. Numbers on the Walk were low this year but those that did come were good company, and the weather was fine. It concluded with tea at Roger's house just below Scolty. Proceeds will be sent to Tibet Society and Free Tibet, both groups campaign for an end to the occupation of Tibet by China and end to the human rights abuses in that country.
